CUHK once again demonstrated a strong commitment to humanitarian values through the Blood Donation Campaign 2025/2026, co-organised with the Hong Kong Red Cross.

Throughout this semester, 12 blood donation days were held across campus, located from University Station, University Library to the New Asia College and United College. Thanks to the enthusiastic support from students and staff, a total of 277 units of blood were successfully collected, providing vital resources to the healthcare system and helping save lives across Hong Kong.

This campaign was more than just a blood drive, it was a moment of unity and compassion. Every donor’s contribution reflected the CUHK community’s sense of responsibility and dedication to making a difference. Many students thoughtfully made time between classes to donate blood, with some courageously participating for the very first time. Their willingness to step forward, even amidst busy schedules, reflected a deep sense of care and responsibility. Throughout the campaign, staff members provided caring support, ensured a smooth and safe donation experience for everyone. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, encouragement, and a shared spirit of giving. Several donors expressed heartfelt appreciation and a strong interest in joining future blood donation events, hoping to continue making a positive impact.

A heartfelt thank you to all CUHK members who participated and supported the campaign! Your kindness and action made this initiative a great success. Special thanks to the Library, New Asia College and United College, joint hands with us in providing venues and support to the campaign!

Looking ahead, CUHK will continue to promote humanitarian values through volunteering, awareness campaigns, and future blood donation events, encouraging more people to join the cause and bring hope to those in need.
