“In Dialogue with China” Study Trip – Exploring Yunnan (EY) Tour 2025

“In Dialogue with China" Study Trip – Exploring Yunnan (EY) Tour, co-organised by the Student Experience and Development Section of Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and the General Education China Programme of the Office of University General Education (UGE), will be re-launched in May 2025!

 

This EY tour aims to broaden students’ horizons by exploring Yunnan’s diverse culture. You may get more information on SEDS Instagram with #CUSEDSYUNNAN.  The 2025 Tour programme is now open to application. Application details are shown below.

 

What will you gain?

This “In Dialogue with China Study Trip” provides an immersive experience for students:

1.      Cultural Understanding:

Promote cultural understanding between participants and the local community in China and engage students with local youths to foster exchange and mutual understanding of social and cultural issues.

 

2.      Experiential Learning:

Provide participants with hands-on and experiential learning opportunities through visits to historical sites, museums, cultural landmarks, and local communities.

 

3.      Global Citizenship:

Cultivate participants’ global citizenship by exposing them to different perspectives, values, and societal structures.

 

4.      Personal Growth:

Facilitate students’ self-understanding and personal growth by interacting with different parties.

 

Tour period (tentative):  13-19 May 2025 (7 days)

Destination: Yunnan

Language: Cantonese & Mandarin

Eligibility:  All full-time CUHK undergraduate students

Quota:   22 students

Interview: 11 February 2025 (Tuesday) at 18:30-20:30 in Room 502, 5/F, Wong Foo Yuan Building

Training: 3 – 4 training sessions will be provided on Tuesday evenings from 18:30 to 20:30

The First Encounter session will be conducted on 18 February 2025.

Programme fee:  

HK$ 3,500*

 

(including round-trip air tickets, airport taxes, transportation, accommodation, meals, cultural exchange activities, group travel insurance and pre-departure training).

*The programme fee already excludes the subsidy provided by the OSA and UGE for those students who can complete the programme successfully.

Deposit:  

HK$ 1,000

 

(The deposit will be refunded upon satisfactory completion of the trip and related activities, but the amount may vary depending on the cost of the air tickets.)
